  1. Really interesting to read this with some (limited) prior knowledge of feng shui. We were recently given a spikey cacti. It’s going outside, tucked away! And I’ve checked the position of our decorative mirror too! Thanks for this Sadia 🙂

  2. An imperfect mum (Catie)

An interesting read although I have just moved my bed under the window and I love the energy and light it brings… #BloggerClubUK

  3. Some great advice here. Not just good for feng sui. It’s also a lot of good sense to have your home positive and decluttered. Lovely post.

  4. Oh I love the concept of feng shui – I, too, love interior design and love your point on not keeping anything which has a negative vibe – it definitely will not bring positivity. Thank you for sharing #BloggerClubUK

  5. I’ve never really thought about feng-shui before, I just place things where they look best haha I like bright, airy spaces as I feel more comfortable in them, I’ll need to look into this more. #BloggerClubUK

  6. I’m sure so much of this is common sense too – who would put furniture with backs against windows, it just FEELS all wrong. Also fake flowers uurgh can’t breathe properly when i see those. Having said that i have alot to learn such as leaving handbags on the floor in hallway (just so I wont lose mobile). My OH is a minimalist so no danger of getting cluttered thank goodness. #bloggerclubUK

  7. The Tale of Mummyhood

This is a really interesting post, I found myself looking around my room noticing things we have done wrong. I’m in rearrange mode now!

  8. This post resonated as we are just in the process of a bit of decluttering and painting. I love the ideas of Feng Shui – it’s such an interesting concept and when you follow it’s ideas, it’s amazing the difference it makes mentally, as well as physically. Alison x #BloggerClubUK

It’s surprising how much feng shui makes it’s way into our lives without really realising. Thanks for sharing these points, I will definitely be making a note of them for my next decorating project. #BloggerClubUK

  13. Hi Debbie, thank you for featuring this post by Sadia. I only said this morning that our house needs a good clean and decluttering, it’s that time of year when dust drift start appearing and everything is everywhere. Maybe if we can in-cooperate a little extra positive energy into the house people will start being a little more tidy!

    xx
