When we hear the term “improve your life” it feels big doesn’t it? Scary even. It doesn’t have to be.
Making an improvement to your life doesn’t have to be a huge change; it doesn’t have to be something like becoming a self made millionaire. I mean sure, that would improve your life in some ways, but the big things are usually long term goals.
The smaller changes we can make almost instantly can make a huge difference to our lives and our mind sets.
There are so many simple tweaks we can make on a daily basis to improve out lives right now.
Give these a go – you owe it to yourself to be happy.
1. Have an Early Night
When we feel tired, we are less productive, easier to anger and a whole lot less happy. Have an early night (or even a nap if you can fit one in) and your body and your mind will thank you for it.
If you find you have trouble falling asleep, a natural supplement from somewhere like Gold Bee – Botanical Supplements and Hemp Products can help you relax.
2. Set A Realistic Goal for Today
Sometimes we feel disheartened and stuck in a rut because we think we aren’t achieving anything on a daily basis. This isn’t true at all. All of those little things we do deserve to be celebrated. Those little things all up to the bigger things over time.
Set yourself a goal that will bring you closer to your end goal. Make it small enough that you can do it in a day, but large enough that it challenges you. When you hit that goal, you’ll feel a sense of achievement that otherwise may have gone unnoticed.
3. Let Go of Yesterday
Was a yesterday a bad day? Well it’s over now. Cut yourself some slack and move on from it. Hanging on to your past mistakes, analysing your every move, isn’t going to do anything but make you feel bad. Accept it was a bad day and move on.
4. Do Something Physical
Do something to get your heart pumping. Whether that’s a run, a brisk walk, resistance training or even a good spring clean, getting your heart rate up and your blood pumping can instantly improve your mood. You can burn off some of that anger or lethargy, and your body will release feel good hormones that will give you an instant energy and happiness boost.
5. Have a Declutter
It doesn’t have to be a full house declutter (although if you have the time and the inclination, why not?). Simply clearing out one drawer or cupboard is a good start. Clutter around you can make you feel trapped which is conductive to discontentment.
6. Practice Self Care
No, don’t just eat good food and drink at least eight glasses of water a day. Self care also means taking care of your mental health, and that can involve spending money on things that make you feel good. Go get a facial, a Brazilian wax, or even a cellulite treatment in London if that’s what you fancy. If you feel guilty spending money for your own benefit, then that only means you’re not taking care of yourself well. Remember, to take care of those around you efficiently, you have to start with taking care of yourself so you have the energy for it.
Are you going to try any of these? What do you do on a daily basis to improve your life? Let me know in the comments 🙂

Early nights are my downfall. I always plan to go to bed at a reasonable time, but here I am at 00.30 wide awake. And I have toddler group to contend with tomorrow!
I devlutgered my house KonMari style last year. It’s made a huge difference although I do feel I need to re do a few categories.
Exercise. Cleaning or time with hubby. Both are pretty satisfying 😉 . I would live to get back to rock climbing though.

Honestly all of these things set me right on a daily basis- except the sleep thing. There is no sleep in this house anymore.

Haha I know what you mean about the sleep thing and I can’t even blame kids lol
Life Loving
Ooh these are 5 of my favourite things to change when I feel like I need a lift in life. A good declutter always helps you feel better.

They are all really helpful but can I add something to your list? Everyone should laugh or smile everyday, watch something funny on the tv, play a funny game with your kids (or friends) just find something that you know will make you laugh or smile and you will feel so much better x
I’m always setting goals and frequently have an early night.

I think all of these work really well for me. I like writing a ‘to do’ list for the day as crossing the things off is very satisfying and you can see some progress. #AnythingGoes

They all work, everytime I do one I feel better for it, it’s just finding the time to do them, except the physical thing, I’m a moody cow if I don’t do that! #BloggerClubUK

Great tips. The big one for me is realistic goals. I always struggle with that one.

Mama Grace
Love all of these but I love how you stress REALISTIC goal. It’s important to reach a goal or even break a big goal down. #BloggersClubUK
Debbie, My Random Musings
I totally agree – it can be so disheartening when you set unrealistic goals and then can’t achieve them!
MomOfTwoLittleGirls
I have “A Cupboard” that could drastically do with a declutter but I’m almost afraid to open it for fear of what will fall out! My husband won’t even go near it. #bloggerclubuk
Sadie
I’ve slipped out of the habit of prioritising sleep, but it really does make such a difference. I loved this list, lots of doable tips which can have a great impact!

Early nights make such a huge difference but I’m really bad at doing it. I had a kitchen clear out yesterday and I feel really good today, it’s an odd one 😉

Totally agree with all of these! Decluttering and setting a few small/ simple tasks on a morning to kick start the feeling of getting somewhere always motivated me! #bloggerclubuk
Susie / S.H.I.T.
I’m always setting myself far to big goals each day but need to break them down into doable sized chunks so I feel that sense of achievement, rather than than annoyed dissatisfied feeling. Also need more early nights! #bloggerclubuk
