The Blogger’s Corner series is an interview series featuring advice and experience from bloggers whose blogs are older than six months.
If you would like to take part, you can find all of the details here.
This week, we have the lovely Kim from Life Can Be Toff.
1 Introduce yourself
Hi, I’m Kim and I live just outside of Tetbury with my two staffies, Maddie and Kira, and at the weekends, my boyfriend, Jon.
My Blog is Life Can Be Toff. By day I’m an office manager, by night I’m an ironing lady, cleaner, horse help, veg picker….
2 Tell us a little bit about your blog
My blog sums up what goes on in the life of Kim.
I work full time, and I work for my landlords doing odd jobs around their country pad. As well as attempt to live a life in between – which is often the hardest part of all.
Thankfully, I get to see many interesting places through work, and do many interesting things working for my landlords so there is always something to write about.
The name basically stems from the fact I live and work around a LOT of posh people, aka toffs and that my life revolves around working with/for them. It’s a play on the sentence life can be tough.
3 What can your readers learn from your blog?
Hopefully, that finding and making time for you is important. Also, don’t take life so seriously, people should find something positive in everything they do. Even if work or something is getting you down, there is a positive in each and every day.
4 What’s your favourite thing about blogging?
I get to share funny stories and places I’ve been to.
I also love that I get to write and be creative. Once I get a blog piece in my mind, the words just flow.
5 And your least favourite thing about blogging?
It’s a slow burner. I don’t expect overnight success, but almost a year in, and I’d love to have more of a regular following. I’m working on it.
6 Tell us one random fact about you
I can’t watch people brush their teeth, whether that’s in person or someone on the telly doing it. It makes me gag.
7 If you could only blog about one thing for the rest of your life, what would it be and why?
Well, I blog about my life, so if I could only blog about that for the rest of my life, I’d hope that I’d have enough interesting stuff happen to make it worthwhile reading.
If it has to be one specific thing – food. I LOVE food.
8 What was the hardest part of starting your blog and why?
The worry that it wouldn’t be appealing to readers – I almost didn’t start up because I worried that I wouldn’t be interesting enough. Friends and family were always telling me I should write a book, well, a blog is the next best thing.
9 If you could give new bloggers one piece of advice, what would it be?
Don’t give up when success doesn’t come quickly, blogging is a slow burning process. Do things you love, write about what you enjoy. The rest will come with time.
10 Is there anything you know now that you wish you’d known in the beginning?
Making the most of social media from the start. I’ve just started to engage more with social media and think, had I done so at the beginning, I might be a bit further along with my following than I am.
11 Do you have any long term goals for your blog?
I would like to grow into a well established lifestyle blog, that people can turn to for days out, restaurant reviews and just to have a general giggle.
I’d also love to establish a Life Can Be Toff stationery range. I have so many untapped ideas, just not the artistic capability to start.
12 Who’s your blogging hero?
Hero at Muddy Stiletto’s. I’d love to work with her one day.
13 What’s your favourite social media network and why?
I adore Instagram. I love taking snapshots and sharing them for all to see.
I’ve grown fond of Twitter recently, it’s an unlimited source of blog assistance and help.
14 Anything else you want to share with us?
Thank you for taking the time to read. I hope you find the time to check out my blog and that you like what you read.

Nice read and an interesting lady. I am following her blog and on instagram, it does sound interesting to be in between two worlds (the posh and the commons lol) and i bet you must find a lot to entertain yourself in what you do. The stationary idea is great, you should start it… Its great to discover other bloggers, Debbie such a great idea. Thanks for visiting, Laura x
