What Does Your Pen Say About You?

As a blogger and a writer, it will come as no surprise to everyone that I have a stationery obsession.

I love buying cute little notebooks and pens (although I always go back to my favourite pens). I’m also a big fan of post it notes and What Does Your Pen Say About You? in blue text on a lighter blue bakcground with a pic of two penspaperclips.

It might however come as a surprise to you all to learn that I quite like doing online personality quizzes.

You know because clearly I don’t spend enough time online as it is.

I’ll often find myself doing random quizzes at stupid o’clock in the morning where I will find out riveting facts such as what my favourite pizza topping says about me or which characters from Friends I’m most like.

I don’t why I find the quizzes so addictive, but I really do and I think a lot of people would agree.

Anyway, bearing all of that in mind, you can imagine my delight when I was contacted about doing the “What Does Your Pen Say About You?” quiz.

It combines my love for stationery with my love for doing personality quizzes.

What’s not to like?

As you can see from the picture below, I’m not really into flashy pens – I just seem to like buying them – and my go to pens are Bics and this one my auntie made for me.

I can only seem to write half decently in these pens – is that weird?

So What Does That Say About Me?

After answering the questions, I got my results instantly without having to enter an email address or anything (I hate those quizzes that are just a front for sticking you on an email list).

My result was Analytical:

You are a fact-based introvert, which means you are a reserved and quiet person. Curiosity defines you, and you like to get to the bottom of things. You constantly weigh up the pros and cons of a situation, and make to-do lists. You are always asking questions. You want to know what holds the world together deep inside. You are self-effacing and meticulous. You have a tendency to overthink things.

 

Was It Right?

Mostly, yes. The first line is way off – I’m not an introvert and I’m certainly not reserved or quiet, but the rest is pretty much spot on.

I am one of those people who wants to know the whys of everything. It’s not enough for me to know that something is true, or it just works – I have to know how and why.

I have a huge love for lists – daily, weekly and monthly to-do lists and lists of things I need to pick up etc. Crazy as it sounds, last Christmas, I started my prep by making a list of the lists I needed to make, so that one is definitely spot on.

 

This is a fun little quiz to take and it’s a bonus that the results are pretty close to spot on. And you get to look at pictures of pretty stationery too.

You’ll do whatever-it-takes to get the job done, so some people view you as stubborn.

    I got the same result as you…and for me I think it’s quite accurate!
    I actually like to write with a pencil, I think my handwriting looks nicer. But I was given a gorgeous pen as part of a leaving gift from my old work team and I love to write with that too.

  7. stubborn and comes across arrogant – I think I’ve heard that a time or two before. My only problem with this quiz is that there wasn’t a choice for ‘clicker” pens. I always have to have a clicker, won’t use anything but if I can help it. Who can be bothered to keep putting caps on? #anythinggoes

  10. I was analytical too! I think some of the characteristics were right… others were a bit off. I’m always losing pens, I have about a dozen floating around near my bed with my various notebooks and scribblings. I always go to the bic pens too as they tend to write really nicely and I always lose them anyway! #Anythinggoes

    Not sure about this result, think your description summed me up better although I know I can be stubborn!
    I also have a stationary obsession so can completely identify! My boyfriend has banned me from getting any more notepads for the time being!

  15. I would also go for the simple pen, like you. I always lose pens in the bottom of my handbag or they fall down the back of the microwave, I couldn’t look after a “special” pen very well! Great post x #bloggerclubuk

    I took the quiz. It says I’m a driver and this is pretty much spot on!
