  1. Great post, Debbie. It’s hard for me to call anything about myself “amazing,” because, as a woman, I was raised to think saying anything positive about myself was “bragging.”

But here are some things I like about myself: I have a big heart and am very empathetic; I’m good at building relationships with people; and I can make people laugh. How about you?

    • I don’t remember my parents having that attitude, but I definitely remember society as a whole having it and you soon learned to put yourself down rather than celebrate yourself! I like that I can get other people excited about projects, and that I’m a quick learner.

  2. I’m amazing? Gee, thanks for noticing!

Your second point reminds me of when I was younger. Every so often, one friend of mine or another would put herself down, and say she was stupid, or worthless, etc. My response was usually to ask if she valued my opinion, and when she said yes, I’d point out that my opinion of her was quite high. It usually helped somewhat.

  3. Inspirational post!

Let’s see – something unique is that I wrote 50k words in one day! I just did it a few days ago. I planned a 24 hour marathon, and a friend challenged me to write 50k. I did it. I had lots of doubts, but I did it. (I’m afraid to look back at the words, but hey, they’re written at least!)
