On May 3rd, I spent a night in Manchester for Blog On. I stayed in the Premier Inn, Old Trafford on Sir Alex Ferguson Way and I had a lovely night’s stay. I’m not being paid for this review and I didn’t get a discount or anything, I just had a lovely stay and thought I would share it with you all.
Check In
I completed the online check in, meaning when I arrived at the hotel, all I had to was give them my name and sign the form and I was good to go. I arrived t 1.15pm, forty-five minutes before the official check in time, but I thought I’d give it a go and see if my room was ready. It was and there was no complaints about me being early.
The receptionist (who’s name I unfortunately can’t remember) was lovely. Her system was running a little slow, but she was really friendly and chatted to me and it really didn’t take longer than two or three minutes for the system to respond.
I was given my key and easy to follow directions to my room and she explained about how breakfast worked. I hadn’t booked breakfast but she explained that I could still have it and pay on the day if I wanted to.
The Food and Drink
I didn’t actually eat in the hotel so I can’t comment on the food, but there was a menu in the room and there was a lot of choice. I was planning on ordering a take away on the night time, which reception had told me was fine as long as I came down to the lobby to collect the food. In the end, I wasn’t particularly hungry so I opted for a packet of crisps, a chocolate bar and a bottle of diet coke from the handy vending machines in reception.
The Room
My room was a good size and was lovely and clean. The bed was very comfortable and soft, and I had a great night’s sleep, although my back did feel it the next morning (I like a firm mattress as my back doesn’t do so well with soft ones).
It had everything I needed and more – 3 big towels, toiletries, a hair dryer and ample tea and coffee supplies. There was a bath and a shower and the bathroom was a reasonable size too. I had a lovely view over the quay.
General Things
The car park was a good size and offers free parking to guests. Check in is 2pm and check out was a generous 12 o’clock although obviously I checked out a lot earlier because the conference I was attending started at 9am.
All of the common areas of the hotel where clean and in good repair and reception is manned 24/7.
Overall Thoughts
Overall, I had a great night’s stay at the Premier Inn and I would definitely stay there again. I stayed for the bargain price of £29.50 and it was more than worth that price. 5/5.

Hi thanks for posting the review. It’s always nice to hear about good places to stay! I like Premier Inn, it’s usually very consistent service wise. I think this is where I stayed last year too. No complaints here either.

It was lovely to see you at BlogOn. I always stay at the Premier Inn when in Manchester. I find the rooms and service pretty box standard, but it provides everything you need for a weekend away

It was lovely to see you too! Yeah for the price of a round of drinks, you really can’t go wrong can you.
